"Our Oil and Other Tales" Benefit Film Screening for Copwatch

Join us for the west coast premiere of Our Oil and Other Tales,
filmed recently in Venezuela. This documentary delves deep into oil
and coal from Lake Maracaibo to the Orinoco Delta, examining
sovereignty and self-determination through the life experiences of
communities, oil workers, and indigenous people. In Spanish with
English subtitles; running time 83 minutes.

This screening is a benefit event to raise bail money for Modesto
Copwatch. Community organizers will be joining us to talk about
successful Copwatch programs that have been happening in the Modesto
area, and the need and reasons for community action against police
brutality and harassment.
