the works of some of our brightest and most talented high school
writers today.
MIRACLE by Karla Gallardo
Directed by Jon Wai-keung Lowe. Mentored by Noel Madlansacay
~When a family discovers a religious "miracle" in their own kitchen,
they quickly find themselves in the midst of yet another media circus.
A WAY AWAY by Aaron Goldman-MacLachlan
Directed by Adena DeMonte. Mentored by A.P. Saito
~ Amos and Gell desperately seek to leave behind the dying hicktown
of Lexington. But can they escape their suffocating lives?
FLOWERS FOR THE DEAD by Jane Reynolds and Chloe Jenkins-Sleczkowski
Directed by Dawn Monique Williams. Mentored by Anne Doherty
~When two girls are both cast in the same role-the Mexican Woman in A
Streetcar Named Desire-they are forced to question the importance of
their role in the play and in their own lives.
GOOD CHARLOTTE by Hallie C. Scheflin
Directed by Anne Marie Bookwalter. Mentored by Jody Handley
~Witty and individualistic, Charlotte is the star of the school. But
who knows what will happen when she refuses to adhere to the school's
stringent dress code.
BROTHERS by Sacha Mount
Directed by Jessica Richards. Mentored by Paul Flores
~When a rival gang guns down his brother, Jose must choose how to
carry on his brother's legacy-through a better life for himself or
more violence.
