Women on the Edge celebrates the contributions of women working in
the dancetheater field. These choreographers are merging the
boundaries of dance and theater to create unique, compelling, and
cutting edge work. The performance series provides a supportive
forum for emerging artist to try out new ideas and encourages
audiences to experience dancetheater. The 2006 Women on the Edge
festival showcases the work of Cynthia Adams, Chris Black, Sara
Kraft, Monique Jenkinson, Joan Bruemmer, and Michelle Spenser
Ellsworth. The festival takes place at EXIT Stage Left in concurrence
with Exit Theatre's annual DIVAfest, a theatrical celebration of
womanhood featuring work by women writers, directors, and performers.
