The Life and Art of Betty Dodson, a slideshow and talk, at the Center
for Sex & Culture. Known today as the "mother of masturbation" for
her workshops that help women explore their sexuality through the
medium of self-love, Dodson gained reknown originally as a
classically-trained fine artist who was among the first women to
explore explicitly sexual themes. Exhibited in San Francisco first at
the Museum of Erotic art in the early 70s, Dodson's art is an
important part of her oeuvre. Included will be tales from Dodson's
amazing life! Come meet Betty and be entertained, enlightened, and
inspired.
Admission is $10-50, sliding scale.

Masturbation month festivities later the evening of the panel. Her
most recent movie, Orgasmic Women: 13 Selfloving Divas, will be shown
at Oakland's Parkway Theatre at 5 pm on Saturday, May 13. Admission
