Studio27 presents an evening of avant-garde film and video that
explores the consequences of living in a false paradise. The
psychodramas that make up this program expose the hidden violence and
suffering that flows beneath the most utopian aspirations. Here, a
thin red line separates pain from ecstasy, beauty from ugliness, the
newly-born from the decrepit, salvation from abjection, and death
from redemption. All of these films illustrate the ties that bind
together the darkest primal regions of the human heart to divine
beatitude and revelation.

Admission is free.

Fillmmakers Tony Gault, Kerry Laitala, and Darrin Martin will be
present at the screening. Additional work by: Liss Platt, Jean-
