The Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) proudly presents
the group Linking Rings in LION'S GATE: A TRIBUTE TO CHINATOWN
NIGHTCLUBS OF THE '40s AND '50s at the SomArts Cultural Center, 934
Brannan Street, San Francisco with two performances: May 19 at 8 pm,
and May 20 at 2 pm. Fusing music, dance and theater, Linking Rings
brings to life the dazzling legacy of nightclubs that once attracted
audiences to San Francisco's Chinatown. This production will feature
not only members of the current group, Grant Avenue Follies, but also
individuals who were part of the Chinatown nightclub scene during its
heyday. Included in the line-up are artists and entertainers from
the popular Forbidden City nightclub once located on Grant Avenue.
