a celebration of the date

noise festival in 2 parts:

1. virtual festevil - everyone can participate!

(a) make sounds wherever you are at 6:06:06 pm in your own time zone -
(b) post documentation to flickr.com or youtube.com tagged with FESTEVIL
(c) then look for a special site / page with all sound / video /
photo documents embedded for simultaneous playback

2. local festevil - sound event at 21 Grand in Oakland

(a) soundoff at 6:06:06 pm (to coincide with virtual fest) and
(b) conducted and improvised noise in creating a live soundtrack for
the omen, the exorcist, faces of death, or similarly evil film and
(c) conducted / scored performance by an 18 piece ensemble of a new
variation of jon brumit's 'Vendetta Retreat' composition (this
variation for 6 electric guitars, 6 drummers, and 6 electronicians) and
(d) a truly glorious and evil grand finale

bring a noisemaker of any type (air raid sirens anyone?) for the
6:06:06 pm sound-off / kick-off
