The Living Room is proud to host poets from Kitchen Sink, the East
Bay's best literary magazine ever!!!! Please come for an evening of
amazing words. Also showing through April is Burnt Milk and Spilt
Toast: the work of Jeremy Mullin.

Here are the readers:

Jeff T. Johnson is a senior editor and Louder Than Words editor at
Kitchen Sink. He has developed, with years of practice, the ability
to read and walk, navigating the streets of Oakland without falling
into potholes or causing car crashes. He is the author of several
chapbooks of poems (most recently, little window and the roof for
miles), and is working on a comic book called Internal Exile.

Stefanie Kalem is Kitchen Sink's Editor-in-Chief and also its Sex
Food & God editor. She would like to thank the California
unemployment insurance people for making her latest favorite things
-- shadow puppetry, samba drumming, and KS -- easily possible.

Kaya Oakes teaches writing at UC Berkeley, a job she enjoys a hell of a
lot because she teaches books she likes, swears a lot in class, and
gets called "professor" by really smart kids. Her first collection of
poems, Telegraph, won the Transcontinental Poetry Prize from Pavement
Saw Press and is forthcoming later this year. She's been involved with
Kitchen Sink since before it was born, and while it eats up a lot of
her time, she totally doesn't mind because she has nothing better to do
now that Project Runway is over.

Reverse Angle editor Sam Hurwitt also writes for the
San Francisco Chronicle a lot. When he's not doing
that he writes fiction, or long lists of space-alien
superheroes or guests for imaginary parties. We
basically just keep him supplied with ball-point pens
and spiral notebooks and remind him to eat.
