Trainspotting Redux

Ten years ago, Edinburgh Castle Pub produced the US premiere of the
stage version of the Irvine Welsh novel Trainspotting, months before
the release of the succesful movie. Tonight's event is a tribute to
the phenomenon that Trainspotting became.

Clips from the movie, readings from the novel and a rare documentary
on Irvine Welsh will be shown. New wave cover band, The Shakespearos
play the hits from the movie's soundtrack and more classics from the
era.

The show is a benefit for the world premiere of Babylon Heights, a
new stage play by Irvine Welsh and Dean Cavanagh opening in San
Francsico on June 14.
