I Want to Feel Clean

From May 1, 2006, to May 6, 2006, the San Francisco Art Institute's
Diego Rivera Gallery will present I Want to Feel Clean, a video work
by Denise Parsons. Thoughts of baptism and confession come to mind
as Parsons reveals a wide range of emotions while letting us look in
on her intimate and ongoing struggle to cast off and renew. Since
the beginning of 2006 Parsons has filmed herself each time she takes
a bath and has used clips of this footage to create I Want to Feel
Clean. Also on view will be the work of Lu Fang and Alfonso Aguirre.
