Two "Founders of Cyberpunk" Rudy Rucker and John Shirley will each
read from new works at this event, part of a series of readings by
famous science-fiction writers curated by Terry Bisson and Adam
Cornford. Past readers have been Kim Stanley Robinson and Robert
Silverberg. Readings are monthly at New College of California 777
Valencia Street in SF.
Along with William Gibson, Lew SHiner and Bruce Sterling, Rudy Rucker
and John Shirley were seminal cyberpunk writers. Rucker and Shirley
in particular are rogue artists in the progressive, radical
tradition, breaking with science-fiction orthodoxy.
