Money & Run Episode 4: Go Straight, No Chaser

Thu, Apr 20 - Sat, May 27

$15 general, $10 students / TBA members

Impact Theatre is proud to close their tenth anniversary season with =

Money & Run Episode 4: Go Straight, No Chaser, written by Wayne =

Rawley and directed by Desdemona Chiang. The production performs =

from April 21 to May 27, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm at La =

Val's Subterranean Theatre in Berkeley.

Conceived by comedy genius Wayne Rawley, the Money & Run stage action =

series first originated from Seattle's Theater Schmeater as a late- =

night underground phenomenon. The story follows the adventures of =

Money, a criminal with a heart of gold (reprised by the demurely =

=FCberhot Alexandra Creighton) and her rugged outlaw boyfriend Run =

(sexy and dangerous Impact newcomer Andrew Jackson). As Cudrup =

County's very own Bonnie and Clyde, the daring duo rob liquor stores =

owned by crime boss Big Momma Bob (Hannah Marks) and run into =

unexpected mayhem with the local yokels. Impact Theatre produced =

Money & Run Episodes 1-3 back in 2003, where it performed in =

repertory to sold-out houses night after night, and is thrilled to =

bring back our favorite antiheroes with Episode 4: Go Straight, No =

Chaser.

In Episode 4: Go Straight, No Chaser, our loveable criminals finally =

get caught by the law. Forced to give up their life of crime, Money =

& Run move into a single-wide trailer and adjust themselves to the =

unaccustomed ways of the straight and narrow. Run gets a job at =

Cardinal Aberdeen's Clucky Bucket, where he spends his drawn-out days =

bossed around by sleazy, greasy, lecherous manager Kyle (Sean =

Williford). Money becomes domesticated as a trailer-park housewife, =

indulging herself in the endless pleasures of television home- =

shopping and Popperware sales parties with her newfound trailer-park =

friends, both named Kathy (Danielle Perata and Carolyn Zola). The =

end result is down home hilarity at its finest.
