No.4 at Triple Base is proud to present a group exhibition of works
on paper. Curator in residence, Nancy Meyer, has asked a handful of
artists to lend an artwork from their personal collection. The
request to each artist was that "the work could be one of your own or
a work traded or given to you by another artist, but it must be
something of sentimental value to you and NOT for sale."

The concept of the show was derived from an interest in displaying
cherished works of art defined by personal and emotional significance
rather than one of critical or commercial value. The exhibition is
comprised of photographs and drawings generously contributed by Kota
Ezawa, Chris Finley, Mads Lynnerup, Euan Macdonald, Keegan McHargue,
Will Rogan, Oliver Halsman Rosenberg and Chris Sollars.


The curatorial collective No. 4 (Joyce Grimm, Audrey Marrs, Dina Pugh
and Nancy Meyer) is brought together by a shared interest in site-
specific and multi-disciplinary contemporary art practice. The artist-
run gallery has invited the four curators to organize a six-month
program of exhibitions in the space. The curators will facilitate
artistic activity both inside and outside of the gallery walls,
applying experimental curatorial models. No.4 strives to facilitate
innovative ways to promote the work of local artists, to instigate
dialogue with artists from various regions and to encourage cross-
disciplinary collaborations.
