Bang! Splat! Prick!
Holy Wet Dream, Batman!
Gotham's Fantasies -- an opening party for Center for Sex and
Culture's April art show.
'Gotham's Fantasies' features the work of four artists -- David
Steinberg, Jeanne Hemhauser, Patricia Nason, and Mike Woolson -- in
"A Photography exhibit exposing the Deviant Desires of Gotham City's
Do-gooding Denizens and Depraved Degenerates"! Costumed scenarios
show a distinctly fetishistic side to the classic Batman super-hero
and villain fantasies, with models from last fall's Darkroom Theatre
production of "Batman: The TV Show, the Play." (www.darkroomsf.com )
Artist bios will be posted on www.sexandculture.org.

The opening Party for Gotham's Fantasies is a pre-party for CSC's
Kink Ink art auction (4/8/06) and visitors may preview the Kink Ink
art. It will be held at the Center for Sex and Culture at 398 11th
Street (at Harrison) on Friday April 7th, 10:00 pm until 1:00 a.m.
Cost is $5-$15 sliding scale.
Fetish or Super Hero/Villain attire (and attitude) is encouraged.
Performances by Dr. Hal Robins (The Ask Dr. Hal Show), Meliza Banales
(2002 Oakland Grand Slam champion poet, prizewinning writer and
filmmaker), Sherilyn Connelly (Queer Open Mic -- "It's all fiction,
except for the true stuff. Gosh, even that"), Katrina James
(producer, cult public access show "kittypr0n" and erotica writer),
Catwoman (Meoww!), Red Door on the Left (a super-powered comic duo)
and The Hand (Apocalyptic Renaissance). The Hand will perform
"Pinky, Ring, Middle, Index & Thumb: A Hanfull of Songs for Ukulele
and Kazoo" as well as some classic Batman music. The Hand: A clown
(Accordion/Luz Gaxiola), a gentleman (Viola/Victor Lowrie) and a
madman (classical guitar/Matt Walker), whose music sounds like gypsy
lullabies.
