Gallery 16 is pleased to present Instant Messaging, an exploration of
the intersection of art, daily life, communications, and drawing. The
Instant Messaging show is an expansive collection of pre-internet,
pre text-messaging communications: napkin drawings, post-it note
messages, telephone book scribblings, lost and found signs,. All the
material is that which is made outside the self-conscious nature of
art making, with a sense of immediacy. Material was collected from
artists and non-artists alike, both locally and nationally.
