World beat band COPUS (Creation Of Peace Under the Stars) will be
performing at the 12 Galaxies club on April 1st in 'round 2' of the
Emergenza Festival international music competition. For the first
time since the festival started 15 years ago in Italy, San Francisco
has been included in the event that 'showcases the best unsigned
bands in the world'. On any given weekend night over a six-month
period of time, bands are performing in 40 cities simultaneously from
Kansas City to London, from Cannes to Orlando. "At first Emergenza
sounds like some outlaw import racer, tricked out with exhaust,
suspension and all. But in fact Emergenza's been bumping headlines
for more than 15 years now. Birthed in Europe, Emergenza began as a
collaborative effort to reach the ultimate level of self-expression
through music. Coupled with a chance for worldwide exposure and
opportunities, this event is 'Making Some Noise'hellipEmergenza is
'The Latest Pooh' and like flies, fans are swarming in from
everywhere. Hosted at the seductively situated Red Devil Lounge in
San Francisco (for 'round 1'), Emergenza has managed to pull talent
from as far as Sacramento, Sonoma, Vallejo, and San Francisco's own
