Through a Child's Eyes/Opening Reception

Opening Reception for the art exhibit called "Through a Child's Eyes"
features visiting artsts from Japan. Also with a ballet performance
by Misako Tanaka from Japan.

SomArts Bay Gallery presents "Through A Child's Eyes" opening on
March 30, 2006, and continuing during the month of April. This
exhibition is an unusual collaboration between elementary school
students in the Bay Area and elementary school students from
Hiroshima, looking at daily life and experience from the perspective
of a child. Fifteen of the Japanese students will attend the opening
reception, while visiting the S.F. Bay Area. Curated by Joan Miro in
the U.S. and Yumiko Oda in Japan, the exhibition will open with a
ballet performance by Misako Tanaka. Many of the Japanese
participants will be present to interact with their American
counterparts.
