returns to the Art House for this special concert of compositions =

integrated with poetry from three projects: Tinta Verde (from NERUDA =

PRESENTE!), The Archaeology of Memory, and their upcoming Bandola =

Project. As writer, Willy Lizarraga, puts it, Quijerem=E1 =

"hellipmanages tohellip render a whole constellation of South =

American rhythms into a jazz idiomhellip how the cueca from Chile, =

tango from Argentina, waltz at its most Latin, land=F3 from Peru, =

joropo from Venezuela, huaino from the Andes fuse into a musical =

continuum whose identity, no matter how jazzy, always remains rooted =

in the deep South, not of the U.S. but of the Americas." Quijerem=E1 =
