See Jane Run: Contemporary Art About Childhood

This group show explores ideas about childhood utilizing memory, =

fantasy, experiences and dreams to capture the physical and =

psychological universe of childhood. Many of the artists employ =

children's imagery in their artwork-anim=E9, cartoons, toys-to address =

how ordinary objects can be transformed into fantasy characters or =

used as a portal into imaginary worlds. The exhibition includes =

Marta Thoma's gigantic sculptures of toddlers' dresses, constructed =

from transparent mesh screen, as well as painting, photography, video =

projections, and mixed media works by 25 artists. Featured artists =

include Brigette Burns, Ben Darby, Davis + Davis, Megan DeArmond, Kim =

Dingle, Aida Gamez, Lisa Kokin, Lis=E9a Lyons, Martin Mull, Aaron =

Plant, Beverly Semmes, Laura Whipple, Susan Whitmore, and many others.
