Composer/sound artist GORDON MONAHAN talks about his diverse
activities in the world of music and sonic art. He will discuss
technical as well as conceptual issues and show video documentation
of a number of his pieces. Monahan's works for piano, loudspeakers,
video, kinetic sculpture, and computer-controlled sound environments

installation and sound art. He juxtaposes the quantitative and
qualitative aspects of acoustical phenomena with elements of media
technology, environment, architecture, popular culture, and live
performance. Monahan has been Artist-in-Residence at the Banff Centre
