June 3, 2006 marks the 13th anniversary that Damien Echols, Jason =

Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were arrested for murders they did not =

commit. It is also West Memphis Three Worldwide Awareness Day, the =

perfect opportunity for supporters to join together and let the world =

know the truth about their unjust convictions. All over the globe, =

people will stage concerts, screen Paradise Lost I & II and host =

benefits to raise money for the WM3's defense funds.

The West Memphis 3 - Jessie Misskelley, Damien Echols and Jason =

Baldwin - Three teenagers imprisoned for crimes they did not commit =

and convicted of murder although there was no physical evidence, =

murder weapon, motive, or connection to the victims, have been in =

prison for over 11 years. The prosecution pathetically presented =

black hair and clothing, heavy metal t-shirts, and Stephen King =

novels as proof that the murdered boys were sacrificed in a satanic =

cult ritual. Unfathomably, Echols was sentenced to death, Baldwin =

received life without parole, and Misskelley got life plus 40. This =

Caf=E9 Du Nord is located on the north side of Market Street, next to =

the Shell Gas Station at 15th Street. We are easily accessible by =

public transportation. The F-Line streetcar stops at the corner of =

Sanchez and Market. Church and Market is also a major Muni stop; the =

N, M, L and J lines all stop at the Church Street Station.

Street parking in the neighborhood is generally available, but can be =

limited.

FROM THE EAST BAY
Once off the Bay Bridge, stay on 101 and proceed toward the Golden =

Gate Bridge. Take the Mission Street exit and go straight through =

the first stop light. The street ends at Market Street. Turn left =

on Market, and Caf=E9 Du Nord will be on the right side of the street =

one block past Safeway, just before the Shell gas station.

FROM THE SOUTH BAY
Take 101 North to the Mission Street exit. Go straight through the =

first stop light. The street ends at Market Street. Turn left on =

Market, and Caf=E9 Du Nord will be on the right side of the street one =

block past Safeway, just before the Shell gas station.

FROM THE NORTH BAY
Take 101 South to Lombard, and take Lombard to Van Ness. Turn right =

on Van Ness and proceed to Market Street. Turn right on Market =

street, and Caf=E9 Du Nord will be on the right side of the street one =

block past the large Safeway, just before the Shell gas station.
