LAST PLANET THEATRE PRESENTS Farmyard, a rarely performed great play
by Germany's critically acclaimed playwright Franz Xaver Kroetz,
demonstrating that even an inappropriate, criminal and brutal love
can be the best moment of a person's life.

"The mark of an extraordinary dramatist... A Van Gogh-like sense of
truth and compassion towards stunted and impoverished people."-London
Times on Farmyard

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT: Franz Xaver Kroetz produced an astonishing body
of work in Germany in the seventies and early eighties. His plays,
produced and critically lauded throughout the world, challenge
audiences in ways that are so unexpected and direct that it often
seemed he was creating a new form of realism. However, it is his
steely vision of human cruelty and his ability to render it in the
plainest terms that makes him one of the 20th century's most radical
playwrights.

ABOUT LAST PLANET: Last Planet was founded in 1998 and has been
widely reviewed in local dailies and weeklies, earning recognition
for its "boldness and intelligence" (SF Bay Guardian) and serving as
"an outpost of the intellectual avant-garde that is unique in the
region" (Marin IJ).
