The new plays development arm of 142 Throckmorton Theatre, The
Playwrights' Lab, brings us Writers with Attitude #2 - presenting
professionally staged readings of the new work they have been
cultivating. The first Writers with Attitude was presented last year
to sold-out houses. Join us for these exciting and sobering 10-
minute plays dealing with many contemporary issues - immigration,
baseball, marriage break-ups, sex-changes, dangerous dongs, science
vs religion and aspects of inter-personal honesty. Following the
readings, we invite attendees to stay for a discussion with the
playwrights, actors and directors. Reactions and suggestions are
critical and valued in the development process of new work. The
Playwrights' Lab professional playwrights who will present their
plays are:Brad Erickson, Anne Galjour, Dyke Garrison, Dan Harder,
Lynne Kaufman, John Levin, Kenn Rabin, Martin Russell and Bernard
Weiner. Directors are Joy Carlin, Robert Estes, Tony Kelly, Rebecca
Novick and Ken Sonkin. Marilyn Shaw and Joan Sadler will produce the
evenings.
