Special Writers With Drinks taping

We're doing a special Writers With Drinks on Monday, and it'll be
filmed as part of a segment of the PBS show <a href="http://
www.roadtripnation.com">Roadtrip Nation</a>.

Roadtrip Nation follows a group of young people as they travel around
the U.S. and interview people. The band <a href="http://
www.shanghai5.com">Shanghai 5</a> has been <a href="http://
roadtripnation.com/trip/100/">chosen as a "team" for the next season</
a> of Roadtrip Nation, and they want to feature <a href="http://
www.othermag.org">other magazine</a> and <a href="http://
www.writerswithdrinks.com">Writers With Drinks</a> on their San
Francisco stop. The band asked us to organize a mini-Writers With
Drinks event before their concert next Monday at the Make Out Room,
so they could tape it and include it as part of the show.

Featuring: Annalee Newitz (Techsploitation), Jewelle Gomez (The Gilda
Stories) and Daphne Gottlieb (Homewrecker).
When: This Monday, Jan. 30, from 7:30 to around 8:00 or 8:10.
Probably best to show up around 7.
Where: The Make Out Room, 3225 22nd. St. btw. Mission & Valencia
How much: $6, includes Shanghai 5 and other bands. We'll give away
free back issues of other magazine to everyone who shows up for the
reading segment.

Please come and support Writers With Drinks! We really need to have a
cool literary crowd there for our first ever taping!
