What began as a joke among editors who hadn't attended their own
proms has become the best reason to bust out your fancy gear: Kitchen
Sink magazine, in collaboration with KALX 90.7 FM, is pleased to
announce the Love and Rockets Ball, a benefit dance party for KS
featuring entertainment by hipster disco outfit Sugar & Gold, workout
crew Get in Shape, Bitch!, Miss Trannyshack 2004 Anna Conda and
KALX's Roscoe 2000 and Brother Grimm on the ones and twos, Suicide
King, Tourettes Without Regrets co-host, and HBO Def Poetry Jam poet
Geoff Trenchard as your emcee, a raffle for fabtastic prizes, and a
Technicolor cornucopia of additional delicacies and activities to be
announced soon! Naughty chocolate! Champagne! Yeah!! Guests are asked
to dress in formal or semiformal wear, or with the Love and Rockets
theme in mind whatever that means to them.
