Come dance, socialize, and experience the sights and sounds of South
Asia remixed. Dhamaal, San Francisco's critically acclaimed artist
collective, unleashes a rhythm romping performance featuring DJ
Maneesh the Twister, Ferhan Qureshi on Tabla, and visual maestro Skip
Intro. As a kickoff to their Third Annual Dhamaal Sights & Sounds
Festival, they will perform original material and remixes that fuse
elements of Hindustani and Carnatic classical with modern electronica
such as Downtempo, Breakbeats, and Drum'n'Bass. For almost seven
years this crew has been creating audio, video and fine art hybrids
of South Asian culture. Two-time winners of SF Bay Guardian's Best
of the Bay Award for Best Electronic Act/Best DJ and for their
legendary monthly club night at Club Six, Dhamaal continues to evolve
hosting the largest South Asian electronica events in the US and
