Fridays After Five NIGHT GAME MIXER, Friday, Jan. 6, 6 to 9 p.m. Live
jazz, cash bar, last weeks of Baseball As America exhibit. "Facing
Baseball's Future: Issues Contronting the Game" panel at 7 p.m. $8
includes party, galleries, panel. 10th & Oak Streets, a block from
Lake Merritt BART. Emeryville Chamber of Commerce, co-host.

Don't miss a chance to see 500 iconic objects about the national
pasttime, direct from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum,
in Cooperstown! Included are "Shoeless" Joe Jackson's shoes, record-
setting bats from Babe Ruth, Roger Maris, and the McGwire-Sosa home
run chase of 1998, the most highly prized baseball card in the world--
the Honus Wagner T206, Jackie Robinson's 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers
jersey, the legendary Doubleday Ball from baseball's legendary first
game,in 1939. Exhibition must close Sunday, January 22. Open
Wednesday to Friday, 10 to 5, Saturday 10 to 8, Sunday 12 to 6.
