Kick off 2006 with some big wave fun on Thursday, January 5th at Blue
Cube...Support your local filmmakers at this BENEFIT silent
auction & film sneak preview for Elizabeth Pepin (a KQED Emmy-award
winning documentary filmmaker) & Sally Lundburg's "ONE WINTER
STORY", the documentary on Santa Cruz's big-wave charger & scientist,
Sarah Gerhardt -- Maverick's first female surfer.

Meet this trio of talented women for a great all-ages event that
will feature a film trailer screening (15 mins), silent auction and
raffle. Take home
incredible paintings , photography, surfboards and services donated
by prominent local artists/surfers including Barry "Twist" McGee,
Clare Rojas, Jeff Peterson, Manolito Surfboards (Frank Freitas), and
Mollusk Surf Shop's John McCambridge -- many who have shown their
work at major museums and galleries. Also win a surf session with Sarah
& Mike Gerhardt, a surf photography session with Elizabeth Pepin, and
more...

Event proceeds support the film's final post production and its
upcoming February 2006 release. Also enjoy food, cocktails, DJ
grooves by the Noe Valley Track Team and live music by Surfer Spud's
band, Drifting Sand.
