"Contemporary Art from El Salvador" comprises a selection of
contemporary works being produced in El Salvador, as well as their
counterparts in the Bay Area - works both abstract and figurative,
representing the current work of Salvadoreans in both places.
Curated in El Salvador by Francisco I. Zayas, in coordination with
the National Council for the Arts, CONCULTURA, and coordinated with
curator Doctora Astrid Bahamond, this exhibit presents jury selected
works of contemporary Salvadoran art. In San Francisco, the artist
Romeo G. Osorio, founder of the Mission Cultural Center for Latino
Arts, will coordinate the show.
