A raucous throwback variety show that lurches around the Purple
Onion's legendary stage like a shopping cart with one screwy wheel.
Co-hosts Guy J. Jackson and Geoff Foster tell outlandish tales and
sing barn-burning songs, respectively, and then the carnival of
special guest stars, culled from the finest local talent both
underground and above, shows off musicians, comedians, balladeers,
poets, rappers, ventriloquists, dancers, magicians, and whoever
else's got something to bring. The next two shows are December 21st
(The Screaming Good Times Purple Christmas Special Edition) and
December 28th (The Approach of Auld Lang Syne Purple Pre-New Year
Blowout Edition), 8PM to 11PM, at The Purple Onion, 140 Columbus, @
Columbus and Kearny, North Beach, SF. A true San Francisco original,
