Techconnect WiFi Hearings - What Happened?

Fri, Dec 16
2:00pm-5:00pm

free

What happened to Free wireless internet from Google for everyone?
Well the City has gone into stealth mode - they seem to think they
can roll out a solution without asking us what we want and need.
Supervisor Mirkarimi has called a hearing to get your thoughts and to
make some government officials sweat. Should be fun to watch and put
in your two cents.

If you can't physically attend this meeting, we have set things up so
that you can watch it online Windows Streaming Video or on channel 26
and then you can talk with others real-time online about what is
going on in the meeting!

You'll have three minutes to say what you like at Public Comment.

Anyone, Yes you! Can speak at these hearings, no quailifcations, age,
voting status, height or technical ability required.

We are going to setup Internet for Live Blogging, They'll be
televised Live on SFGTV cable (26) and Live on SFGTV Live! Internet
streaming, we'll have a Live Chat Room (if you can't be there in
person), and we are working on some other Techno suprises. You can
bring your laptop for a short demo or powerpoint or for Live Chat,
Live Collaborative Notetaking, and Live Blogging.

You can bring Overheads/Slides, Digital cameras for Live Blogging.
Video and Audio Recorders, and Power Strips and Extension cords.

Pick one or two of your hot button issues and then
Demand transparency and accountability
