Lunadas have fast become one of the hidden jewels of the Mission,
bringing the best of the national spoken word scene to breathe fresh
vibes to our community ritual. Their talent for crafting fly-by-the-
seat-of-your-pants hymnals is inspiring folks of all ages to
reimagine a space for hope and strength.

We kick off the new year with two very special features; acclaimed
poet, feminist, historian, waxing puertorican/jewish ancestry to the
tune of activist and now infamous author of Remedios: Stories of
Earth and Iron, Aurora Levins Morales, and a founding member of
madmedia and new to the Bay Area via the acclaimed El Teatro
Campesino, teatrista/accordionista Nicolas Valdez.
