Experience dance and art in "Bodies in Motion" at the newly expanded
SOMA Artists Studios, 689 Bryant Street, San Francisco on Friday,
December 9th,from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This event is free to the
public and refreshments will be served.

"Bodies in Motion", an evening of art and dance is worth attending.
Over 20 artists will open their working studios throughout the
evening to demonstrate and discuss their diverse work in oil and
acrylic media painting, sculpture, ceramics, weaving, print making,
the video arts and jewelry design. Two cutting-edge dance companies,
Dance Project RW and Land by the Gallon of Transplants, will perform
exciting new work.

Jbird Leary leads Dance Project RW. She apprenticed with the Merce
Cunningham Dance Company and was assistant to and performed with
choreographer Sarah Michelson for her New York City show of
Shadowmann, which was followed by a European Tour. Currently she is
dancing with Luciana Achugar and Reba Brooks, as well as doing her
own dance shows.

Nancy Garcia of Land by the Gallon of Transplants studied at the
Cunningham School in New York City. She has performed in New York,
throughout the United States and in Japan as both a dancer and musician.
