Parijat Desai Dance Company performs an elegant and exciting blend of
Indian classical and modern dance, with influences from yoga and
martial art, evolving a South Asian American aesthetic while exploring
themes of spirituality, struggle, and transformation.

Enjoy an evening of Desai's solo works (including the Bay Area
premiere of Listening #4), along with performances by Carnatic
saxophonist Prasant Radhakrishnan, poet Asha Mehta, and hip-hop artist
Neela Banarjee. The event helps launch the New York-based dance
company that is captivating audiences nationally and internationally.
Followed by a barefoot dance party and light refreshments.
