- A VICTORIAN HOLIDAY PARTY

WHAT: The Great Dickens Christmas Fair: a costumed adventure into the
holiday parties of Victorian England. Hundreds of costumed players
bring to life 100,000 square feet of theatrically-lit music halls,
pubs, dance parties, and winding lanes, inviting patrons to sing
along, waltz, shop, feast and toast the Season!
It's the golden glow of twilight in Charles Dickens' London Town - a
city filled with lively and colorful characters from both literature
and history. Enticing aromas of roasted chestnuts and hearty foods
fill the air. Cries of street vendors hawking their wares ring out
above the bustling crowd. One hundred lamplit shops are filled to
overflowing with Christmas presents.
Patrons will have a delightful time preparing for the festivities at
timegames.org, an Adventure into Another Lifetime. This Timegame can
be played on several levels online with great and rich rewards then
possible at the Dickens Christmas Fair. Each player chooses a
Victorian name, creates a Passport to the Past, and wins tokens for
prizes if the Timegame is well played. Patrons of all ages are
welcome to join the party!

WHO: Directed by the Patterson Family, who invented and directed the
popular Renaissance Pleasure Faire at Black Point in Marin County for
28 years, the Dickens Christmas Fair is a treasured Bay Area
tradition since 1970.

WHEN: Opens Thanksgiving Weekend, Friday, Saturday & Sunday,
November 25, 26 & 27 and continues Saturdays and Sundays through
December 18, 2005; 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

PRICES: General Admission $20.00 at the door;
($17.00 in advance or with patron's library card at box office)

Student/Senior/Military $17.00

Children 5-11 $8.00 ($6.00 in advance or with child's library

Children under 5 are free
