Effection and Chillin Productions Host Fashion and Art Event to
Benefit Habitat For Humanity and Rebuilding Together
On Saturday, November 19, 2005, San Francisco's creative community
and beyond will converge at Fort Mason's Herbst Pavilion for an
evening showcasing the work of fashion designers, artists,
architects, industrial designers and DJ's.
The evening will highlight four runway fashion shows by 20 designers,
artwork from over 60 artists, trunk show sale with over 90 clothing
and jewelry designers, and music from six local DJ's. Over 2,000
people are expected to attend this event, which is the first
collaboration between Effection and Chillin Productions.
The event, titled "Storm", will occupy over 22,000 square feet at San
Francisco's Fort Mason Herbst Pavilion and feature Full Runway
Fashion Shows showcasing new and theoretical lines from Bay Area
designers. "Storm" is a benefit for the victims of the recent
Hurricanes affecting the Gulf Coast. The evening will begin at 8pm
and end at 2am. All proceeds from the $10 donation at the door will
benefit Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together. Effection,
Chillin Productions and all artists' involved hope to raise not only
funds but awareness to the efforts provided by Habitat for Humanity
and Rebuilding Together to all those who suffered from this natural
disaster.

About Chillin Productions:
Irene Hernandez-Feiks founded Chillin'Productions seven years ago
with the purpose of discovering and aiding Bay Area fashion
designers, painters, photographers, filmmakers, DJ's, musicians and
performers. Her goal has been to provide exposure and create new
opportunities for the artists. In her tenure as a promoter, Irene
has made a point of never taking commissions or charging designers to
sell their work. In short, all of the money made by the artist goes
to the artist. Chillin' Productions produces four events per year
with each event showcasing 60 fashion designers, 60 painters/
photographers, 60 filmmakers, 7 DJ's and live music. In addition,
the past year Irene has been involved in projects with GEN ART,
Mexican Consulate (Cultural Affairs), the United Nations and
Natural World Museum (art into action), Baxter Chang Patri Fine Art
(Miguel Osuna), Art Seed apprenticeship Program Benefiting Bayview
Hunters Point Youth and Spindle Desco
Continuous Movement Discussion Series: Converging Art, Music &
Nightlife: Possibilities (A panel discussion & open forum).
Assisting the community is Irene's passion and true focus.
