A powerful performance at a great exhibition
Through combining live music, time-based paintings, spoken word, and
movement the Interarts Project hopes to create experiences that both
enrich life and offer a new lens with which to perceive. This
particular performance, "In Death Begins Life," delves into the
nature of going through an experience similar to death and how doing
so can newly awaken someone into a fuller life. The intention is not
to represent this process but instead create an environment in time
that allows an audience to experience a small part of dying and being
reborn.

About The Interarts Project
The Interarts Project is a collaborative series of performances
combining live music, time-based paintings, spoken word, movement,
and other art mediums to create experiences that both enrich life and
offer a new lens with which to perceive. Started in 2001 by
interarts artist, composer, and performer tyson, the Interarts
Project moved to the bay area in the summer of 2004 and has been
expanding, developing, and producing shows ever since. Most recently
performing in the MAPP: Mission Arts and Performance Project, Million
Fishes Arts Collective, and the Mission Cultural Center for Latino
Arts, the Interart Project is seeking to broaden the variety of
communities it reaches by producing as many free, pay-what-you-can,
or low cost performances throughout the city of San Francisco and
greater bay area.
About the SomArts exhibition "Rituals in the Journey of Life and
Death": a gigantic art show in their bay gallery space with over 60
artists and live performances.
