Roshambo Gallery Features Eve Mosher and Miya Ando Stanoff
November 3, 2005 - January 10, 2006
"Transitory Environments" a showing of new works by Eve Mosher and
Miya Ando Stanoff.
Healdsburg. October 15, 2005. Roshambo Gallery located at 3000
Westside Road in Healdsburg, California will feature the installation
work of Eve Mosher and minimalist paintings on steel panels by artist
Miya Ando Stanoff in its gallery from November 5, 2005 - January 10,
2006.
Mosher's sculptural works and drawings are "site-responsive" -
created in response to the winery and the world outside its windows.
Her labor intensive works explore an interaction between the works
and the physicality of the gallery space through color and shadow.
Her organic forms are fabricated with manmade materials, calling into
question the divide between the built and natural environments.
Miya Ando Stanoff is a minimalist metalworker; employing steel and
pigment to create quiet, introspective environments. Working solely
in metals, she is ultimately interested in the study of subtraction
to the point of purity, simplicity, and refinement.
The hours of the winery and gallery are daily from 10:30 AM - 4:30PM.
A reception for the artists will be held on November 5th, from 5 p.m
to 8 p.m.
